My caller ID just read "FT Lauderdale, FL". Maybe they finally got sued by the actual Drs. Kirk and Vale. Of course, I didn't even answer to find out. I'm on the DNC list, so I automatically figure its a scam. Besides, I can buy pain cream for around $2.00. I sure don't need any of that $18,000 muck.

Received a recorded message from "Kevin Jones" saying he needed to hear from me or my lawyer regarding an important matter... And that he felt sorry for me if I didn't attend to this matter... Scam!

Called 3 times in less than 2 hours. Did not leave a message. I have never had an unpaid bill of any kind. I do not like getting calls from bill collectors. They should be made by law to check that they are calling the right people before they make such calls accusing a person of being a dead beat. Maybe then they would stop harassing people who to not owe them money.

Got a call from this number but didn't answer because I just had a feeling it was bogus, and, sure enough, this website confirmed it, so, thanks!! What I do with these calls is save them to my Contact List as "DNA 01" (DNA = Do Not Answer 01, 02, 03, etc.) and then, if they ever call again, I just send the call straight to VoiceMail!

607-735-0870. Call saying lawsuit from internal revenue. If you receive this call like I did, go to the internal revenue site to report this fraud and also the f.c.c. to let them know this is a continuing scam.

They just called my 94 year old Grandmother in a retirement home in Ontario and told her that I had died in a car crash. My Grandmother was in serious health problems with her heart because of this call. THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!! The telephone (918) 570-5402 comes up as Life Alert. This person is going by Peter J. Hosey right now. Pretended to be looking for a personal assistant and kept asking if I had certain office supplies and would send them if I did not have them. Wanted me to set up a studio for him in my area. I e-mailed the real Peter Hosey and he confirmed that this individual is NOT him. Be aware!

We just lost my mother. She passed away. This number called looking for my brother. He threatened putting him in jail. He is a basket case enough because he is not a well man. This was a debt from years ago and was taken care of the last time I knew. Civil debts like pay day loans are not criminal offenses.

Receive messages from this number several times a day and they have left a voice message saying they are an officer from the IRS regarding a criminal case that has been filed against me and that it is time sensitive that I get back to them ASAP.
Calling the number goes to a customer service.

Some kind of futures investment company. Name of the guy was Larry Levine and he was asking for a $4000 investment from me to start. Based on all the research I've done this guy doesn't seem to legit. Lots of people suspicious of him or complaining about him. He has a website at secretsoftraders.com which uses to peddle his crap.

Automated message offer about a $250,000 business loan. I think they want money and paperwork filled with lots of personal information. This is most likely a complete scam as professional loan offices or banks do not call you up for pre-approved loans. You need to apply first as stated in the previous comment. You will either get your money stolen from you or they will steal your identity.

This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to stop or pause the recording. Once you get to an operator, they continue to violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number or address when asked. Their recording states that you have been qualified for a $250,000 loan and you need to talk to an operator ... Read More

Received call from "John Riley" ext 5823. Created sense of urgency because "he has been trying to contact person in charge of PECO account for over a week!" He then asked for a direct line to the owner, which I refused. He requested a call back. I asked for a reference number, and he said he didn't have one at this time and to just call back and we will "get things taken care of".

I got a call telling me that I had been selected by the US Grant Department to get a free $9,000.00 grant and that they just needed some information and small payment to secure the grant for me so they could send it to me. They even gave me a fake website which seems to have been taken down already at http://www.usagovernmentgrant.org/
Had a obvious accent from India which seems typical of these callers.

This scammer had my name, address, and the last 4 digits of my social security number. I think they must have purchased hacked data from a government agency or big box store and are using it scare people. They said I owed money on an old payday loan, but his is got to be lie as I've never needed a payday loan in my life. Checked my credit report and it looks perfect. I'm really responsible with my bills so this call is very surprising.

The number is making massive amounts of robocalls to random numbers to illegally counterfeited skin care products using the identity of the Doctors Kirk and Vale. They are not the legit doctors and this line is probably in a foreign country with no serious laws regarding phone spamming or enforcement of counterfeit sales.
Posted: April 16, 2015, 6:55 am
An obvious scammer faking it's identity as being the IRS government agency. Not the case. IRS doesn't make calls threatening people for non-payment. The government works much the same as the business world. You need records on paper before going to court. They don't tell you to "pay up now or else" and then threaten arrest with another government agency. That's simply just nit how America operates on the government level.

Some form a "Service Department" called to thank for my interest and recent stay at their vacation resort and told me I was selected to received a free return stay at the vacation resort which was in Orlando Florida. No idea what they are talking about. I haven't been on vacation recently and I quite certain I would remember doing so :) This seems to be some kind of cheesy gimmick.

A man called thanking me for my visit at their vacation resort and now was offering a second free stay and a free trip to Orlando that would require me sharing some personal information. I've not stayed at any resorts in the last 4 years so this is either a wrong number or an illegitimate caller.

Losers pretending to be the IRS. They didn't have my name right and then said I was going to face legal action if I didn't pay them ASAP. This is total bullcrap as the real IRS would mail you official documentation clearly stating what you owe and how to pay it back...something you can take to a lawyer or accountant if you need to. They don't make housecalls and threaten you.

Indian people with English sounding names trying to fake tax collection with threats of criminal prosecution for not paying taxes. They may ask for payment using a prepaid money card and this should be the sign that you are speaking to a criminal. The IRS does not ask for immediate payment over the phone like it's some convienient payment system. You would probably have to write them a check so everything is legit and recorded. Not some untraceable prepaid card and certainly not with your credit card. Be careful with this caller.

CBE Group calling to verify my name and address. They wouldn't go into why they were calling unless they I gave them this information first. I thought it was weird and suspicious, but I've learned now that there are actually privacy laws related to debt collection and they can't legally reveal some information which could be gleaned from learning why you have a debt and possibly also to reduce embarrassing people at work with their bosses about their debts. So when you tell them who you are with 100% certainty then they can legally reveal the information about the debt.

This (416-800-1762) is one of several long distance ring numbers for the same company that claims that we have won some Mariott hotel stay! No name was given. Another number they use is 416-656-2923. The call begins with "your number has been randomly chosen... press 1 to find out more..." The calls are very annoying!!
