Scam offers for reduced credit card rates. Usually an automated message that wants you to enter your card# into the phone for an easy deal or time sensitive special as a way to get you eager to hand over your personal data. The goal is simple, to steal your data and identity if they can. A criminal enterprise at work needless to say.

Con artists that make mass calls with automated messages about reduced credit card interest rates, often with an urgent time limit that requires you to eagerly type you cc# into the phone to get the limited deal. It's a complete hoax and a phishing operation to steal your identity.

Calls were regarding fixing my computer of viruses that were being transmitted out onto the internet. I needed them to remotely come in and fix the problem. Yeah right, buddy. Clearly a conjob to sell you tech support memberships under false pretenses. The FTC has been clear about this type of caller, it's totally misleading and trying to fake technical assistance so you will feel safe buying an expensive tech support membership or buy software which is available for free elsewhere. Block if possible.

Some kind of suspicious scheme going on here. The person wanted to verify my social security number and my address alogn with other info about my identity. Wouldn't give me much information about them so they sorta came across as abut of a stalker weirdo. I have a mortgage, which I pay on time so I have no idea what debts I could possibly owe to a CBE GROUP as I've not received any letters in the mail to make the debt official. So probably not worth taking seriously as much small debt gets written off. Could be a ridiculous ... Read More

I got a robotic sounding voice offering me vacations to cancun. It's actually a real person which is really weird. I asked the person if they are a computer and they said "Are you done yet? Can we continue?" Hahahaha so I was totally embarrassed. No interest in Cancun though so I asked to be removed from their list and I was hung up on.

No mystery to the identity of this caller. It's just a Verizon debt collection call for late bill payments. You are probably behind on your bill so looking into making the payment will probably stop the calls.

You will get your website penalized by google if you use this company's services. First rank results by just paying someone is a very dangerous way to get traffic these days as it could result in very long and dangerous penalties from google which could destroy your business. BE warned about this caller. They are trying to find naive business owners.

Big problem caller. They steal cc# numbers off people with a big professional sounding automated skimmer call machine. They robocall on mass to get as many number as they can. Card service would never call you and ask for your number as they already have it on their computer. Identity theft is a real threat with this caller.

This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording. Once you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA and prove they are a scam by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked. The recording states that you are eligible to lower your ... Read More

Same as everyone above... computer support person who said my computer is not responding to automatic updates. Very strong Indian accent, I could barely understand him and he had a hard time understanding me. He wanted to know if I was in front of my computer, I said no I was at work. He asked if he could call back later, I said it would have to be after 8:30. He said he gets off at 6:00. I was getting really annoyed and suspicious because I couldn't understand half of what he was saying, so I just said I'd call them back ... Read More

Same as above... The caller asked for me by name and identified herself as from Highmark, but then wanted me to provide information to verify my identity. I explained that I do not provide that information unless I initiated the call to a known number. She offered to provide a number to call her back. Hahahahaha.
I said "No thanks. Is there anything important for why you are calling me?" She said she couldn't continue the call without my verification info. I declined and told her to reach me by mail.

I just got the call from "windows tech support" I told the caller I would call Microsoft if I needed tech support. I know they don't call you unsolicited. I then hung up on the heavily accented man.

These inconsiderate, grammatically incorrect, idiots from a call center no doubt in New Dehli have called for literally a dozen plus times. Saying same stupid thing they are a company that submits your website to Google and other online partners. They claim for $5 a month they will help increase your business presence on Google and other partner websites. The idiot begins by confirming publicly available information about my website then when I ask who they are she starts tripping over her tongue then I request a website that I can look into more information and they say globaltechservices.com...calling ... Caller said that windows was not updating properly on my computer. I informed them that my computer updated just fine yesterday. Their response to this was that if I looked at my background processes I would see that this wasn't the case. They kept trying to get me to log onto my computer which I did not do.
The caller was a heavily accented woman who did not identify herself or who she worked for. It sounded like the caller was in the car or something with a lot of background noise.

Not a scam. If you get a call, you're probably on the call list for your company.

Tyco handles our security systems at my store. When my place of work got broken into, they contacted me because the contacts ahead of me on the list didn't pick up.

I missed their call initially because of the random Montreal number, thinking it was a scam also. Looked up the number, called back, and it was a different representative who picked up and had no recollection either - so yes, it's possible. When I gave them my store ... Read More

Received the same call this A.M. When they asked for my debit card number I became suspicious. They also wanted a credit card number if not a debit card number, saying that the funds would be available to the ladies needing help at a much faster rate. Apparently they couldn't be satisfied with my sending a check, after they sent me the proper paperwork of course. Now we wait to see if they will send paperwork...I suspect not.

These people call several times a week & it varies--usually the recording says "Card Services". Have hit 1 and told an actual person I'm on DNC, but they hang up before the words are out of my mouth. Tried hitting the 0 button and the call disconnects. Wish we could find out who these people are and start a class action lawsuit. What they're doing is illegal.

Debt collectors that buy really old expired debt and then try to scare you into paying it. It's profitable for them because they buy the debt for pennies on the dollar so anyone paying them at all is profitable. Big money being made in this scheme. If your debt has gone past the statute of limitations exceeding 3 years then rest assued that you don't owe anything at all legally and you can't be made to pay them unless you begin paying them on your own because that would renew the statute of limitations and you'd screw yourself. The point of these calls is to lure you into believing you can get an easy payment loan from then that requires a smaller up front fee to collect. You must send it on an untraceable non-refundable way like green dot cards or whatever is available at your local drugstore or Walmart. Once they get your money they keep lying to you about taxes and fines due to bad credit. You will not get your money back and never see the loan.
