An illegal business funding venture sales call. Caller ID says "MARKET."
Posted: November 21, 2014, 12:46 pm
This scammer places calls to phone numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by not having an operator on the line when the phone is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording and answer questions. They still further violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked when they have placed a marketing call. The scam they are offering is business funding through ... Read More

A rude woman called from this number and claimed to be representing a company called Global Tech.
She mentioned something about updating our free listing on Google Maps (how is that a service exactly? Do they type for you or what?) and had trouble explaining what exactly they do as a company.
This caller is obviously a fraud and a scammer.
When someone calls you out of the blue, from another country, and can't competently articulate who they are and what they do, they have no business talking to you.

Take Charge LL calling to tell me that I could go back to work and collect disability still. They left a message. It stated they were subcontracter of Social Security Administration and that they were calling regarding the Ticket to Return to Work. If I continue to receive calls from them, I will contact SSA myself to verify if they are a valid company

Telemarketing call for promotions to sell car insurance. I am perfectly happy with my insurance won't be changing anytime soon especially from someone off the phone. I always look around on my own.

Me too, Charter calling because I do in fact owe them money.

I've asked to be removed from their list 3 times already and nothing. The person they are calling doesn't live here or use this number at all. I don't even know who the person they are calling for is. They still keep calling me.
Posted: November 21, 2014, 10:24 am
They call daily and I tell them each time this is a private residence and not a business. I have also asked our number be removed.
Posted: November 21, 2014, 9:52 am
It's a survey, if you call them back it says that it has expired and if you wish to be removed from their list to hit 9.

Called telling me that I had an unpaid debt of 32.50 for insurance that I cancelled six months ago because I no longer owned the vehicle. The company owed me money for the insurance I paid for my last month and the man insisted that I pay him.

Telemarketers in the Orlando area that ignore the DO NOT CALL LIST. They will annoy 100 people just to make one sale. More annoying than butt worms.

Threats from the treasury department threatening arrest over fake irs debts. I suggest you call you local branch of the IRS if you want to verify this. A common phone scam nowadays so I wouldn't worry too much. Just hopefully you figured them out before it was too late.

Renovation telemarketing calls. If you ask them for their license they will lie to you about getting their secretary to call you back. May be possible scam artists casing your home to rob it. I assume they get their phone list from purchased or stolen home depot data.

I have been billed by Bell for a call that we never placed from our business line to this number. The charge was listed as "Triton Global Business Services" on the phone bill.

When I answer this line I get an automated female voice that says "Once again, if this is Poli X___ [not my name], please press 1. If this is not Poli X___, please press 2." No matter how many times I press 2, it just keeps repeating the same message.

I've been billed 2.99$ for that phone number that I never called!! My provider is Videotron. I know they received many claims about that phone number, they should do something to block them! !

This number IS a valid number for fraud on a BOA card. This number called my cell, then called my wife's cell (which both numbers are listed in our BOA profile) and left her a message. We called the number on the back of the BOA card and asked them to check for possible fraud on our credit card and they saw the fradulant charge attempt that was declined immediately at the POS. Somebody had tried to use our card's number. After verifying we didn't make that charge, they deactivated our current card and sent a replacement card delivered to ... Read More

Got a call saying its Bell's promotions department. Seeing as I'm on the Bell internal do not call list this is probably a scam. I can block the number which is impossible with Bell's own numbers, and if you look it up on Google it shows up as CraveTO.

Claims to work for windows and wants to help with problems on my computer. Says I got a virus problem that is going out on the network. Had a very obvious Indian accent and was using a white man's name. Sounded silly. I did my homework and I think the point of these scam calls is to trick you into thinking you got a favor and then try to sell you a fake tech support membership once they build trust.

Got a call today from someone touting the 2010 Obama Student Loan relief legislation. Her thick Nigerian accent was a dead give away, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt. She promised I would not have to pay my student loan back at all. Then she said my interest rate would be reduced to zero. Then she wanted my email address and limited power of attorney. When I questioned the authenticity of the agency, she started talking about how they were legitimate and she didn't want to go to prison. That is when I ended the call. Will be ... Read More

These people call all the time and never leave a message. I never answer my phone if I don't know who it is. If they don't leave a message, I consider it unimportant. To Praying Mantis: NEVER give anyone over the phone your private information. Even if they say they are with the government. They are just a voice with no proof who they are. Tell them to send you a letter. Even so, you only have to perform/comply if you have either waived a right or have consented to.

I rec'd call to tell me hackers were trying to get into my computer. After giving me his name "Gary Foster" (I didn't know Indians had American names) & scam number (what a dork), I told him I didn't have a computer. He got very irate with me and told me I was lying. Wow, can't believe I was called a liar by a "legitimate" company trying to "help" me. Needled him for a while longer - he stated I will be getting more calls from him since I didn't get my computer fixed. Can't wait!

I actually went to the address of this place at 8721 Santa Monica Bl. Ste 1043, Los Angeles, Ca. 90067 and found a small fedex/mailbox place. The employee working there knew why I was there and asked me if I had been a victim of the scam. This is a big time fraud operation so i would stay clear away from it.

Another useless debt collection agency apparently judging as per looking at the posts around here.
So my daughter could keep in touch with me, I recently bought her a smartphone bit thus far in the two months she has had it, she has had at least two dozen different collection companies trying to to reach some unknown person at her number. I initially changed her number just after I first setup her new phone to stop the first set of callers but apparently the second number assigned is also on file with these scammers as still get bogus ... i have call waiting which beeped in numerous times while i was on a call. since i don't have caller id i prefer to use *69 to find out the number of the caller who tried to reach me. I called the number and got the msg that the number is no longer in service. when i looked the number up online it came up as the fax number for family health and wellness. I called their main number and spoke to claire who said their fax number had been hi-jacked.

I could barely understand the man. he claims I won $250,000 but I need to send a processing fee of $100 to receive it. This is a scam as you do not have to pay a processing fee if you win a legitimate prize(taxes, yes, to the US government, but not a processing fee to get the moeny...).

Called and said I am calling from publisher's clearing house you have won over $850,000 and a brand new truck. I go, ok really, but I did not enter a contest. "Well do you shop at Walmart", he said I said, "yes", Do you want to know how you won, not really, He sounded agitated at this point and said, "do you think this is a joke or something, I said, "Yes I do", and he hung up the phone.

I got a letter from these people claiming that I owe a debt from 4 years ago. I haven't been served papers for small claims court so I will assume this a junk debt collector trying to use scare tactics to make a profit. They often buy debt for pennies on the dollar so any payment id huge profit margins. I will be blocking this number in the future. Statute of limitations has run out. Good luck, suckers!!

Multiple calls with multiple names. This time it was TCM Debt Collectors calling to enquire about my TV license, which was insulting as it's up to date. I told them that they are criminals. Other times it's other nonsense criminals like saying they are from CELL C.
