A Popper like view emerges with an "event" as some kindad and it hits you in a seconds notice that you MUST eat or you feel like you will throw up or pass rets to success? Criminal enterprise at work here. Professional card skimmers is what this call is. These people have computers making mass calls for the entire US and they pretend to be card services. You know it's fake when they just say "Card Services" and not your brand of credit card. They won't say the brand because that will reduce the amount of people who will blindly fall for the scam.

I got an Indian accented young man calling me with sales offers for solar panels. He said that with government rebates it would end up be almost free with the savings I would get. I think they want to offer grid-tie in services as well. They were also offering installation services.

they called me about i have a complain on my ssn and ive been summon by the court to face charges. This is a total scam, i fell for it ,i gave them the payment to clear my name . do not even talk to any of these guys.

I think that this is a scammer. I actually did have a payday loan taken out 3 months ago. But, I paid this off in full. Now I have 4 different people calling me to claim this debt which isn't even a real debt. No idea who to trust so I will choose to trust nobody. Said their name was Barrett Gibson & Phillips and I will not respond to this. I consider this a scammer. Some of them said a police officer would come to arrest me. No arrests yet, hahaha.

This is a scam from 'Publisher Services" or Publisher Clearing House. They will say you won a million dollars or more. Sometimes with prizes of a mercedez car as well. This is some Jamaican scammer. PCH is a big popular scam in the island region. They will ask for a credit card or bank info for payment on delivery or processing fees for the prize. Just a clever scam to rip you off and phish your data.

This is a call regarding my Care Credit account and they need me to pay some money back which i will do once I have the funds. They have phoned a few times to remind me and pressure me to pay off the balance. I will do so on my own schedule. These people wanted a check payment over the phone and I refused this. I will make sure I owe the amount they stated. As I am suspicious they are scammers that have too much personal info on me and know about my card trying to get fake payments ... Read More

This is a loan scammer called "SIGMA SOLUTIONS" which will tell you that you were approved for a loan through an online form and then they will take all your financial information before denying you the loan at a later time. So you give them all your bank info thinking happy about the approved loan and then they change their mind once they have your bank details. This is a dishonest business operation or criminal enterprise that needs to be investigated.

This seems to be a shady company to say the least. They leave messages (more than once) on my answering machine asking for my checking account number. Who the heck randomly calls someone any asks for a checking account number with claims of debt? This is unprofessional and most likely a scammer at work. I would ignore this number for safety reasons.
Posted: July 2, 2015, 12:49 pm
I get calls at work frequently from this number, and they always just hang up. No speaking. Calling my workplace. No need to do business with FPT at all. Wish they would stop calling.

Got a call from this # stating they needed to speak to the estate administrator for my dad, who passed away recently. Kind of surprised he got my # when he stated he did an internet search for surviving family members, and got me not my mother? I don't have the same last name as my dad! He was very vague with what the company does, so told my mom to ignore it, and if she talks to them to tell them to send anything in the mail.

We have been repeatedly been getting phone calls from APG at 800-210-9011. They ask for the person responsible for the MetEd bills. I have not returned any of the calls. They have said they are urgent. Sounds like a scam to me. Our bill is paid on time every month.

Government grant scams for $7500 to $10,000. It depends on the mood of the scumbag calling you. They must randomly pick the amount each day. Anyway, this is a verified scam by the government grant office. You need to apply for a grant, so that should be the first red flag you need to tell that this is a scam since they are randomly calling you and telling you that government wants to hand a huge cash grant over to you. Money for free usually equals scam, sorry.

Fake breast cancer charity call. Asking for donations to the "The Breast Cancers" hahaha, that's not even real english. Obviously a newbie scammer moron from India trying to pull a fast one on me. The caller ID said "Breast Cancer S" and when they called they said they wanted either me or my husband to speak with.

I got some Indian accented woman calling me to ask me if I wanted to participate in a survey regarding my local area. I refused, but I would suspect that this is similar to other calls like this I have gotten previously. They may be a corporation trying to build profiles on customers so they can sell the data to other companies. I can't prove that in this case, but it does happen. So it's government surveys or schemers trying to build profiles on you.

Brian Willinsky of CAO Associates calling to inform me that he was an private investigator and that charges had been filed against my SSN# and that they would be proceeding with legal action against me for check fraud for failing to repay an "Internet Loan" I took 2 years ago. I have no idea what an Internet Loan is and haven't even had a loan at all in over 10 years. Smells like a scam.
Posted: July 1, 2015, 2:18 pm
This is a very suspicious call from a "Free Reporting Services" which said on my voicemail that fraudulent activity was been discovered on my SSN# and that I was going to be sued if I didn't respond to them. I called them back and they said a payday loan company was after from for a 2011 payday loan which I never took out. I was quite happy to hang up on them and tell them to sue me if they want to. I've never heard of them.

This was a medical debt collection company called "IMC Credit Services" phoning about medical bills that are unpaid. There is no way I can afford to pay these people in my current financial condition. Both me and my husband have had to undergo surgeries in the past few years which required a lot of time off work to recover. Now these people keep phoning for the bills and they even call old employers trying to get copies of income statements.

A debt collection company called United Recovery Systems calling for someone else who does not live here. They seemed nice enough and when I explained my story and that I would like to have my number removed they kindly agreed. No more calls yet.

In my case the automated system (when I called it back) said that it was from the Banana Republic Bank and then they asked me to enter in my card number into the phone. If they call you direct and asked for a cc# that would be suspicious as outgoing calls rarely do that if they are legit. But, if you had to call the number back and it asked for your cc# then this is much more likely to be legit. If you don't have a store card then try to speak to an operator to be removed.

I got a letter from these people and a few phone calls as well. Doesn't seem to be a legit debt collection company. They were calling about my brothers debt. They make fake letters to give the appearance of being a real creditor. Don't fall for it. If they are a legal company then they are not acting legal. Ascension Point is the name on the letter.

877-813-1264 in FL. Some tech support charge of $19.95 showed up on our bank statement under my wife's card. She never even purchased anything, nor did I and we don't have DISH network. So we have a case with the local PD and we cancelled our cards. Hopefully we will get the money back.
Posted: June 30, 2015, 9:30 am
Fake tech support criminals spoofing (faking caller id) the tip top tailors phone number to disguise they scammy ways. These types of scams are often prosecuted by the FTC and they force refunds in the millions of dollars because the call is one giant misleading sales call to force technical support subscriptions on you by pretending to be a helpful assistant. They need you to believe them so you will buy stuff from them after they fake the virus repair.

A scammer called regarding a lawsuit that was going to be filed against me for tax evasion and fines that were left unpaid. They said I needed to call them back immediately and begin the payment process ASAP to avoid the lawsuit and possible prosecution for tax evasion. They wanted money paid with a prepaid card from the local walmart. This sounded very unlike the government to me. very sleazy method of payment for a gov agency.

Telemarketing scheme. I have no idea if this is a scam or some shady sales call. They will offer an free cruise for completing a survey. The message is automated which sets off a red flag for me right away combined with the "free vacation" offer. Anything automated calling you with free offers is very risky in my view. I didn't complete the call, but from my research they end up trying to sell you cheap vacations with hidden taxes and fees. So it's not really free in the end no matter what. Scam or not.

A woman called and told me that I needed to phone her back at her office by 5:30pm about a very important personal matter. Appears to be a debt collection company, but I have no idea what debt I could have. I have an excellent credit score and all debts are paid as far as I know. No letters have come in the mail either. Big question mark for me. Not going to waste time with them until I get a letter.

Someone from the "Federal Tax Board" called and said that I was going to be sued or prosecuted for my tax evasion and I would be very smart to pay back all the avoided taxes immediately to save myself from embarrassment. They sounded like they were from Indian. Deep accent that was obviously not American.

The person calling claimed to be from IHG Holiday Inn Rewards. This person had no information about my past Holiday Inn visitation history and then proceeded to transfer me to a woman who wanted to offer me a free weekend getaway. It felt very suspicious so I had to hang up on them.

They (specifically Jason Sybert, extension 5167) called my mom and aunt's business incessantly for a month, then my mom SHRIEKED at him to never call again. He called back. I answered and said, "I'm pretty sure my boss just told you not two minutes ago that we are not interested and to not call again." I hung up on him. He waited a few months and tried again...same guy. A really strange call that said "this is the return call regarding the back brace you saw on TV" when I haven't seen anything of the sort on tv or bothered with any online forms. No idea how they got my phone number and I will be blocking this call from now on.

Fake calls from the IRS and they make threats of being prepared to arrest you and sue you if you don't make swift and immediate payments to them using prepaid cards such as a green dot card. This is absurd as the government will never request payment using a green dot card. They would want a certified check if the tax debt is large. These people are fly-by-night con artists hoping for easy victims.

Magicjack scammers trying to trick me that I have problems with my computer security and need their assistance to solve the problem. They sounded like they were Indian in ethnicity. I have heard all kinds of news reports on tv about this nonsense so I played with the person until they got so frustrated with me never hacking my own computer they yelled at me before hanging up.

In my case I am getting calls from this number demanding repayment of student loans. This is not possible as I've already paid off my student loan years ago to the bank I received it from. I have receipts for this. So this is a very dishonest caller or a very misinformed caller with bad information. I am going to guess it's a scammer as that seems the most plausible in this case. There is simply no way they could mistake my name for an old loan when it was never in arrears at all.

This is Living Giving Moments. Perhaps, the stupidest business name I have ever heard for a survey company. Sounds more like a charity. They are probably gathering personal information to on consumer habits to sell to governments or other businesses.
There are more numbers known to be used by this company that is conducting surveys.

This is "Avatar Homes" a real estate company of some kind. I've never done business with them in the past so I couldn't comment on their legitimacy or what the call all about. I didn't pick this call up and there was a hang up message on the voicemail. Hope that helps someone else. I can only assume that this is some kind of home selling or free valuation call offer. Can't verify that.

A debt collection call from a "CSS" which is really just a old junk debt collector. They make their money buying up debt for a fraction of the debt cost and then using whatever means necessary to scare people into paying them. It's a very profitable business to be in if you can do it right and scare enough people into paying you. The debt they discussed with me is much too old to respect anymore so I will be ignoring their calls from this point on.

I think I did a bad thing. I got a call from this Indian man and he had me press the windows and R button, simultaneously and he got into my computer. He looked at my granddaughters picture and said she was a beautiful little girl! I'm sick about falling for this! what should I do? What could be taken off of my computer?

My husband calls me with a calling card at a pay phone and this is the number that appears in my call display. All of these "scams" and fraudulent claims to this number may not realize that the phone number isn't necessarily tied to any one company or caller. Also calling cards would be untraceable for illegitimate callers.

when calling this bogus number back I reached a machine that said hello a couple of times, then "Julia" welcomed me from pay day loan corporation. At the end of her message - I could press a number to get more info, but most importantly, I could press 9 to no longer receive their calls. Press 9 quickly after she starts and it disconnects you instantly! yippee!

I have received multiple calls from this number over the last few days. This number and about a dozen others. I'm on a DNC list....and I have no idea why I'm getting this barrage of calls in the last week. I don't answer, but let me tell you how annoying it is! It's almost 2:30 in the after noon and I have received 13 UNKNOWN NAME phone calls today alone. It is way out of hand!! (they were not all from this number....on to the next #'s on the list).

Really??? Who believes this crock of shit??? BTW, he's using another number he's calling from:

The caller is the "Senior Depot" and they are calling to sell you medical alert devices for elderly people. It's some kind of monthly subscription scheme that offers the device for free with only shipping required (sometimes free shipping is offered as well) and then they add to this with $3000 in grocery coupons to make it difficult to resist the offer.

Calls come in several times but never leaves a message. I've just picked phone up and walked away, just to put back on hook after a few minutes. No more...blocked the number. I figure if a call is legit they will leave a message. Living in Indiana, have never heard of Love Ministries or whatever they're calling themselves.

A timeshare company with really bad practices. BBB is after them with complaints from consumers. Too many calls and no fulfilled promises on their vacations. Looks to be a complete rip off scheme to make money selling timeshares and I guess they just always get away with never giving anyone their vacation so they keep running this business until they do get caught. Must be nice to be a dishonest person today.

I got an sales call from a home security salesman. The man told me that I had won $1500 in home security services which included installation of the free system. There is of coarse monthly payments after, but what they don't tell you is that most home security companies will give you the system for free anyway. It's the monthly services where these companies make their money. Just lies about free stuff that isn't free so you'll buy something

I received a threat from Joel Thomas this morning. He told me that I have criminal charges pending from an unpaid credit card with a company I've never heard of before. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me that he is the supervisor. I also requested he mail me verification that I owe a debt and he claimed he mailed me a notice several weeks ago and refused to resend them to me. I believe he is not a real attorney.
