Sounds very suspicious to me and I would consider this to be a very high risk call as anything free offered over the phone requiring credit card payments is most likely a scam or misleading you in some way. July 3, 2015, 8:57 am Lame scam for a rewards program gift card for walmart for $100. They want your credit card for an "activation fee" which is obviously just special words for scam. They wanted to push some rewards program on me which would take monthly fees for like $100 or more. Why the heck would I need a rewards program. Sounds lame. Airmiles is good enough. July 14, 2015, 10:21 pm The caller will make claims that you have won a rewards redemption. They will ask for a credit card to redeem the $100 gift card prize. This is were it gets fishy. They will most likely autobill you every month without your consent if you fall for this scam. They are not people and I would hang up on them. September 24, 2015, 10:34 pm Automated scam offer that is offering $100 gift cards for Walmart and is asking for a small processing or shipping fee to collect the card. It's just a scam to get your credit card or bank account information. They will take the money plus more and never send you any card. They will in fact take $100 from you or more if they can. Anyone calling you easy money offers that requires you to pay upfront a small fee is a total scammer. Nothing is free today like this. Don't be a fool.
