June 11, 2014, 10:49 pm This line is used by a number of different schemes. Insurance, security, and auto warranty expiration renewal ploys. Often you hear thick Indian accented men trying to sell you something. India is a big problem with phone scams so i would be cautious. I suggest you ask them questions about their records on you to verify they are actually looking at a real customer file on a computer of yours. March 6, 2015, 5:18 pm This line is known to be used from home insurance sales called "home protection" and expired car warranty sales from scammers who have thick Indian accents. The warranty sales are often total scams and if yuo play around them by asking them what dealership you are using they often times hang up in embarrassment. September 19, 2015, 12:48 pm The company calling is named "Fortis Security" and they are selling home security systems which they offer as free. Oddly, the person wanted to ask me questions about our family vehicle alogn with other personal questions. No need for a home security system, especially not from a mysterious random phone caller.
