At the very least if this were legit they might already know who you are from a past donation or membership involvement. They don't call strangers at random. This is a verified scam and people should look out for it. Don't donate to anyone that doesn't have a public website and phone numbers that you can call direct to find out more about them. June 18, 2015, 9:04 pm This is a scam and a fake "New York Police Chief's Foundation" charity. They want to put guilt trips on you so you'll give money away to con-artists. I believe the police made a public statement about this caller being a fake that the public needs to be careful about.
