They must have stolen or bought an old list and are trying to scare people into paying whatever they can. Scam or old list debters. All I know is that I'm not paying them. I told him he wasn't available and he gave me his name and number and asked to have him return his phone. February 22, 2015, 3:20 pm I am getting very aggressive threatening calls from a "Joe" person who is telling me that I owe money on a payday loan and will be served papers for litigation soon if I don't start discussing a payment plan with them or make immediate payments. Threatens arrest as well which should tip you off that it'd a scam because debtors prisons are illegal. Debt is a civil problem, not a criminal problem. April 17, 2015, 2:16 pm We just lost my mother. She passed away. This number called looking for my brother. He threatened putting him in jail. He is a basket case enough because he is not a well man. June 23, 2015, 3:08 pm I received a threat from Joel Thomas this morning. He told me that I have criminal charges pending from an unpaid credit card with a company I've never heard of before. I asked to speak to his supervisor and he told me that he is the supervisor. I also requested he mail me verification that I owe a debt and he claimed he mailed me a notice several weeks ago and refused to resend them to me. I believe he is not a real attorney.
