December 5, 2013, 4:04 pm We got a call from this number this morning. Called WF. They have no idea what we are talking about, but do not know if it is a phishing scam or not. Very odd. June 19, 2014, 6:01 pm I received a phone call from this number but did not answer it. I usually wait for the voicemail, especially from unrecognised 800 numbers. The voicemail was a computer voice telling me that my street address with Wells Fargo was wrong. This is especially odd as I do not bank with Wells Fargo. If you receive a call from this number, hang up and report it to the Federal Trades Commission as well as Wells Fargo, even if you do not have an account. And always contact the number posted website or phone book.. Never call a company directly from the voicemail number. Be aware, be cautious. May 14, 2015, 3:16 pm I just received a call from the same number as all of the other commenters mentioning Wells Fargo has the wrong address and I should call back to give them correct one. Thanks to this website, I didn't call back and I have a better idea of whats going on. I always check missed call numbers on sites before calling back, especially if they seem odd. August 26, 2015, 2:17 pm same as everyone else posting here, got a cal claiming to be wells fargo needing to update my address. I also dont have wells fargo, but decided i'd see what they were up to, so i called back from a prepaid phone i use for craigslist transactions. couldn't get anyone to answer ever, so i figure i would have to call back with my main number. not worth it, so no call back. December 29, 2015, 5:38 pm Called saying he was from Dillards and wanted to verify my mailing address and will get my full Social Security number name and date of birth. I told him I did not give out my full social that he called me and he got rude when I did not cooperate. I called Dillards, and they said that the 800 number he called from was not in their database. April 6, 2016, 2:19 pm I received an automated message last week stating that the address for my Bassett Furniture Well Fargo card was incorrect. The funny thing is that I had just received my credit card to my correct address. When I called the number I got a foreign man who sounded like he was eating lunch asking for my account number and because I told him I didn't have it he than asked for my social security number. Before I hung up on him I had mentioned that it was weird to receive a call telling me that Wells Fargo had my address wrong even though I just got mail from them! This is an obvious scam.... June 3, 2016, 6:07 pm Same info as above with leaving a message then when you call back, a guy says to access your account he needs your SSN. Then, a girl gets on (I tell I wont give any information as it sounds like fraud) and says oh ya, you need to contact them asap (with a voice of like fear looking at a maxed out account).
