August 24, 2013, 8:28 am Person at this number sends text responses to Craigslist ads trying to scam you. BEWARE! They send texts about big money checks they will send and how they can't show up personally to collect the item which will require their shipping company to come by. August 25, 2013, 12:57 am Tried to convince me they were interested in buying a guitar I had on Craigslist. I got a bit suspicious after they said "my agent will handle the shipping" so I searched the number & found nothing but red flags. I got sassy with them & texted, "I'm sorry sir, I'm going to have to decline your offer after doing more research on this number. I give you points for creativity though. Nice try." March 18, 2015, 10:51 pm A craigslist scammer sending scam texts about wanting to purchase my item. They told me story about how work will not allow them to come buy personally to pick it up. So they will bay by cashiers check and then have me pay the shipping company myself to ship the item. This is scalled the shipping scam and it's the most popular scam on classified sites. They pay you with fake checks or fake paypal payments and then tell you to pay their shipping company to show up and pick the item up. The western union account you need to pay is their scam account and you will just end up trying to resell the item again if you cooperate with these scumbags.
