April 6, 2015, 7:24 pm I also received a call from 855-249-4175 as well as an e-mail from a person at the SSA office in Salinas, CA who is working on my benefits application. All indications are that this was a legitimate call from SSA regarding my application. If I learn anything to the contrary I'll update this message. August 3, 2015, 9:00 am I got a message left on my answering machine telling me that the SSA or social security office had questions for me regarding my application. I also got an email that listed this phone number on it requesting that I call them back. September 7, 2015, 2:23 am This is a legit call. The representative that I spoke to said that whenever they call a person they leave notes on their records that say they did and when. August 4, 2016, 4:12 pm I just got an email to call this number 855-249-4175 ext. 4015254 and to ask for Maribel Jauregui. I had applied online for Medicare on the 2nd of August. This Maribel is giving me until "before Wednesday, August 10, 2016" to call her. Scam or not. I do NOT trust anyone. I will wait for the on-line application status to let me know what to do.
