These people are organized criminals and the FTC is after them and has been after them for a very long time. NOMOROBO was made in a contest for this garbage. They will play and automated message about lowering the interest rate on my credit card and that I need to take advantage of this offer immediately or I will lose it. They want to you press 1 to be connected to an agent to discuss the deal. This is a scam to skim your number and immediately bill you $495. July 31, 2015, 6:02 pm This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line the pause or stop the recording and answer questions. They continue to violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number when asked, and still further by hanging up when asked for a physical address - both of which they are required by the TCPA to provide if asked. Their recording claims that this is your second and final notification that you are eligible for discounted rates on your credit cards, and that it is urgent that you speak with them. This is clearly a scam, as 100% of legitimate companies would gladly provide address and phone number, but also because a decision like the one they are asking you to make will require research, decision time, and a call back. August 1, 2015, 1:11 am Don't be like me, I accidentally fell for this scam without looking up the number online first. They are criminal card stealers and they will charge yo $495 (that's what I was billed). I have been working to get the biller refunded with my visa card. They said they would refund it, but I am waiting for my real card services company to make the refund on my next statement before I rest on this.
