May 13, 2014, 10:53 pm Stupid calls from Indian idiots who pretend to be from Microsoft claiming that I have a virus infection that only they can help to fix. I've done my homework on this scam and it seems they really want to build false trust in them so they can sell you hundreds of dollars in fake tech support services memberships along with software that you can actually get for free online without them. Stay away from this caller if you can. Caller Company: Microsoft Technical Department?? Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

September 23, 2014, 12:24 am SCAM. Pretending to be from Microsoft & UTH. Hang up. They had very clear Indian accents and sounded young. They will get very mean to you if you don't like following their instructions. Caller Company: Microsoft Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher

September 25, 2014, 7:58 pm The caller will try to inform you that you have a computer virus that needs their assistance to remove. They say they are from Microsoft and that they have warnings going off about your ip address sending out viruses on the internet. This is a big national scam in the us and I believe the goal is to sell you a fake 9 year-old membership to technical support services after they fake the cure of your computer from the virus. They will use common windows errors (nothing wrong with your pc) to make it look like it's obvious that you need help. You don't hang up or play with them, but don't co-operate whjatever you do. February 13, 2015, 2:50 pm A person called about my Microsoft Windows computer having a virus infection that was sending these virses out onto the internet. They said they had to fix this and needed my help to secure the infection and restore safety. A very misleading sales campaign to sell you unneeded tech support for hundreds of dollars as well as illegally selling you free software for money. They are probably from India and are making massive amounts of calls in teh US and UK. Caller Company: Microsoft Windows Caller Type: Scammer/Phisher |
